Sometimes Florida news sounds so wild, you could swear it was from the script of a Tarantino movie, much like this news of over $20k in cash and more than 80 guns being seized in a private jet trying to leave Florida.

A press release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stated that the aircraft had been linked to an ongoing investigation, leading to its seizure by several protection services — including CBP Florida, Air and Marine Operations, Homeland Security, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the CBP's Office of Field Operations.

…officers seized 18 assault/bolt action rifles with optics, six shotguns, 58 semi-automatic pistols, $20,312 in U.S. currency, and $2,618.53 in endorsed checks.

The aircraft was believed to be headed for St. Vincent before being detained.

Homeland Security Investigations arrested two Venezuelan nationals, while AMO seized the aircraft and one vehicle.

CBP also reported that just last year, investigations like this one resulted in the seizure of more than 284,825 pounds of cocaine, along with thousands of pounds of other illegal drugs, numerous weapons, and millions of dollars.
