COVID-19 Vaccines Are Heading To Canada Next Week & Here Are The 'First Images' (PHOTOS)

They're set to arrive within days!
Managing Editor, Canada

It’s official! Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Canada within days and photos of the journey so far have already been shared on social media.

In a Twitter post on December 12, UPS Canada shared several images of the vaccines making their way from Cologne, Germany, to “select sites” in Canada.

Describing it “one of the most important deliveries in our 45 year history in Canada,” UPS confirmed that the shipment would arrive in the country by next week.

According to Justin Trudeau, up to 249,000 doses are set to be distributed around Canada before the end of December.

This comes after Health Canada announced its approval for the vaccine on Wednesday.

A batch of 30,000 doses is expected to arrive as early as Monday after the shipment has moved through Belgium, Germany, and the United States.

The vaccines will be distributed across Canada’s provinces on a per capita basis, according to CTV News.

While the federal government has already shared a plan for distribution, a small number of Canadians are already being advised not to have it.

In particular, this relates to those who may have allergies to any of the vaccine's ingredients.
