A 24-year-old man was attacked with a weapon on a public dock in B.C. on Wednesday, report RCMP.

The stabbing in Harrison Hot Springs occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Esplanade Avenue, right next to a beach.

To make matters worse, there were tons of people in the area at the time, according to police.

The dock and beach area were busy at the time of this incident.

Sgt. Mike Sargent, Agassiz RCMP

The victim had to be airlifted to the hospital, where he was treated for "potentially life-threatening injuries."

Three suspects fled the scene after the stabbing. Police located a vehicle and then arrested the three men for attempted murder.

The police are looking to speak with witnesses at the dock and for footage that may have recorded the incident.
