An Alberta destination was named among Canada's 'most magical' and it looks like a fairytale
We still have a few months of winter ahead of us, and visiting dreamy little mountain towns might make it more bearable. This spot in Alberta fits the bill for a magical mountain retreat with scenic peaks, a picturesque lake, and a luxurious hotel to top it off.

The list was based on Instagram hashtags and TripAdvisor reviews for attractions across Canada, and Lake Louise is (almost) as enchanting as it gets. Niagara Falls actually landed in the first place, but Lake Louise was right behind it.
It's just two hours from Calgary, nestled in the iconic Canadian Rockies and within the famous Banff National Park. Most are familiar with the town of Banff, which is just 30 minutes away, but Lake Louise offers a retreat slightly away from the bustle of town.
The stunning turquoise waters of the lake here freeze over in the winter to make the perfect skating ring, with snow-capped mountains surrounding it.
