A new bar just opened in Toronto, and it's run by the same people behind ARDO, a Michelin-recognised Italian restaurant.
Bar ARDO is a new Italian restaurant that opened in Toronto's east end it will make you feel like you've travelled to Sicily in Italy.
The restaurant is co-owners Chef Roberto Marotta and Jacqueline Nicosia's newest venture. It is a "testament to the couple's passion for the Sicilian lifestyle and the best of the region," as stated in a press release.
The owners wanted to make customers feel like they discovered a new and exciting place that they weren't expecting while offering unforgettable dishes and cocktails.
Travel is the inspiration behind the menu and the ingredient-focused menu. So you can expect to indulge in a Sicilian sandwich they once tried in New Orleans or their take on a traditional tuna steak.
With Italian art pieces hung on the wall and cool furniture, the bar is super aesthetic but also simple in design. They wanted to create a "modern interpretation of the glamour of a time past while celebrating the building's authentic original elements."
Not only does the restaurant offer large plates and dimly lit dinners, but during the day, you can enjoy their brighter vibes with their lunch menu.
You can find Bar ARDO at 169 King St. E., in Toronto, seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. until close.
