The Toronto Police Service (TPS) has arrested and charged 18-year-old Valerie Torres-Lizcano in connection with a carjacking spree and is now looking for another teen suspect — 18-year-old Jasmine Oung.

TPS connected Torres-Lizcano of Toronto, as well as a handful of teen suspects, to a carjacking spree involving weapons that took place in August and September 2022, according to a press release.

Grenville and Leeds Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered three stolen vehicles off Highway 401 and arrested three young women from Montreal yesterday.

On August 23, at around 8 a.m., the first stolen Ram truck was spotted travelling at "high speeds" eastbound on Highway 401 towards Brockville, according to a press release.

Five teens allegedly had tools, including a vehicle master key tool, to carry out auto thefts. Their arrests follow a dramatic uptick in vehicle thefts occurring in Ottawa.

On June 4 at 2:30 a.m., the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) found the accused on Main Street. The teens were from Montreal and Brampton, which are roughly an hour's drive and a five-hour drive from Hawkesbury.
