Mama mia! This giant racetrack in Niagara Falls is getting ready to reopen and you can speed along elevated tracks like you're Mario.
The attraction is the first of its kind in Canada and is North America's largest elevated go-kart track facility. Featuring 2000 linear feet of racing surface spread over 4 acres, multi-level tracks and hair-pin turns, the racetrack is full of thrills.
According to Niagara Falls Tourism, it's been dubbed a "mario-kart inspired racetrack" and you'll feel like you're zooming though your favourite video game.
The Niagara Speedway is set to reopen on March 8, 2024, just in time for the March Break.
You can ride around in colourful karts that reach speeds of up to 32 kilometres per hour. The vehicles are "adorned with advanced lighting systems and open leg areas for ease of loading."
One highlight of the Speedway is the four-story helical spiral that's followed by a two tiered coaster-style ramp.
The Clifton Hill attraction costs $13 per driver per 5 minute race and $4 per rider.
Other activities to check out in the area include the Skywheel, Midway and Wizard's Golf.
If you're looking for some thrills, this Niagara Speedway is worth a road trip. "Let's-a go!"
