Ryan Reynolds has talked about how much he loves his home province of British Columbia, so much so that he's considered relocating there with his wife Blake Lively and their four kids.
If Reynolds did move to the province where he grew up, he would join several other Canadian celebrities who call B.C. home.
In November 2023, Reynolds was awarded the Order of British Columbia and while he was in Vancouver he spoke about his love for the city.
In an interview with the Vancouver Sun, the Deadpool actor revealed he and his wife both love Vancouver and have been "subtly looking" for a house there for "a while."
"Thankfully my wife is obsessed with Vancouver and the food scene in Vancouver. I’m obsessed with the childhood that I was given and how privileged that was to grow up in a place like Vancouver," Reynolds told the Vancouver Sun at the time.
If and when the couple finds their dream home in Canada, they could potentially have some famous neighbours who live nearby.
Reynolds and Lively could also take some inspiration from fellow actors and musicians when choosing a specific location in the province.
From Pamela Anderson to Michael Bublé, here are the celebrities who live in British Columbia and a look inside their stunning homes.
Pamela Anderson
Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson lives on an incredible property on Vancouver Island.
The actress restored the six-acre property in Ladysmith where she lives, which is the same home where she spent her childhood.
Anderson purchased the property, which includes a boathouse and cabin, from her grandmother over 30 years ago and always dreamt of moving there one day, according to CTV News.
When she decided to make the move permanent, the actress turned the home renovation project into a reality show called Pamela's Garden of Eden, where she showed fans exactly what she was doing to the property.
In January 2023, HGTV released a tour of what the completed vintage-inspired home looks like and I think we can agree Anderson did a beautiful job with the place.
The home features a pier along the water that stretches hundreds of feet and provides a picturesque view of the water, a vegetable garden, a potting shed, and a rose garden.
Anderson often shares photos of her property on her Instagram page and we can see why she loves it there so much!
Kim Cattrall
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall also calls Vancouver Island home.
The actress lives in a stunning waterfront home and she often gives her fans glimpses of the beautiful views she gets to enjoy every day.
As for the interior of her home, Cattrall shared that when she was featured on the cover of House & Home in 2017.
"I never thought in my wildest dreams about coming back to the home I grew up in — when you’re young, you’re so busy trying to make your ripple. But when I sat here, I thought, ‘This feels right,'" she told House & Home at the time.
As seen in the magazine, Cattrell's home has rustic vibes with exposed wooden beams, hardwood floors and mostly neutral colours with some pops of red in the living room and blue in the bedroom.
The best part of the property? The ocean views that Cattrell gets to enjoy from either inside or outside. In one clip Cattrall shared from her backyard, she managed to capture a pod of orcas swimming by.
If Reynolds does end up getting a home in B.C., he should take notes from Cattrell and Anderson and get one that's close to the water so his family can enjoy similar views year-round.
Jillian Harris
Anyone who has watched Love It or List It Vancouver knows that Jillian Harris has some serious interior design skills.
The former Bachelorette star lives in Kelowna where she has styled every room in her home to look like something out of a magazine.
The beautiful property has an open-concept kitchen, dining area and living room space with wood beams that you can see throughout the property.
The colour palette is neutral with primerly white walls, a white kitchen and bathrooms. She has some light greys and pale pink in various rooms as well.
Harris often shares videos from inside her home on her Instagram page and her website so you can keep up with any changes she makes.
In a video on JillianHarris.com, Harris gave a home tour and went over where she purchased many of her favourite items.
The Canadian TV personality also shared a big reveal of the farmhouse she also owns and it's no surprise that it's just as stunning as her main house.
Michael Bublé
If Reynolds and Lively were to move to Vancouver they might choose an area close to singer Michael Bublé.
The Canadian musician lives in a 27,000-square-foot mansion in Burnaby across the street from the same elementary school he attended as a child, according to the Vancouver Sun.
The outlet reports the house was assessed at $11.8 million in 2018, sits on a 2.3-acre lot, and has seven bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.
It also features some pretty cool amenities, including a hockey rink inside the basement.
During a 2023 interview on KFC Radio, proved how Canadian he is by showing the hosts a video of the rink and it is quite impressive.
Bublé also posts videos on his Instagram, which show other cool features like his incredible backyard space.
Chip Wilson
Lululemon founder Chip Wilson is another homeowner in Vancouver.
His nearly 16,000-square-foot property on Point Grey Road in Kitsilano has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a tennis court, and a swimming pool, according to The Georgia Strait.
The outlet notes that the estate was valued at $73 million in 2022, and topped the list as the most valuable residential property in B.C. for years.
These aren't the only celebs who live in B.C.
Comedian and actress Chelsea Handler and KISS musician Gene Simmons both have homes in Whistler so you may spot them in the area if you're visiting or skiing at the resort!
