C’est aujourd’hui, le vendredi 11 mars, que Justin Trudeau a conclu sa visite en Europe. Depuis dimanche, il a visité le Royaume-Uni, la Lettonie, l’Allemagne et la Pologne pour y rencontrer des dirigeants et des alliés stratégiques.

Le premier ministre a qualifié sa visite de « fructueuse » et a annoncé que les demandes d'asile seront traitées rapidement par le Canada. Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada a mis en place des programmes spéciaux pour permettre aux réfugiés de rester au moins deux ans au Canada et pour faciliter les demandes pour un permis de travail. Les démarches de parrainage et de regroupement familial pour la résidence permanente seront accélérées.
