Eugene Levy Got A Huge Honour And His 'Schitt's Creek' Family & Real Fam Showed Their Love
Eugene Levy recently received an iconic recognition and his real family and Schitt's Creek family were on hand to support him.
On Friday, March 8, the Canadian got his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
For the occasion, his daughter Sarah Levy and on-screen wife Catherine O'Hara both had kind words to say.
Sarah described the process of trying to find the right things to say for the huge honour.
"Not only did I have to speak, I had to write what I was speaking," she said. "And not only did I have to write it, I had to write it about my dad, born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, receiving his star in Los Angeles on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Where do you even begin?"
She went on to describe some of Eugene's biggest accomplishments both professionally and personally, including one project that blended both things, even if perfection isn't possible.
"I'm grateful I got to experience that firsthand, not just as his daughter but also as a colleague watching him co-create the world of Schitt's Creek and all that it became. Ultimately, he's shown my brother and me how important it really is to do what you love. I think most if not all of his success comes from the fact that he absolutely loves what he does."
O'Hara, who of course starred as the inimitable Moira Rose, took a moment to acknowledge Eugene's truly impressive coif.
"It is really impressive, especially considering the amazing head of hair on his head, both on top and in those eyebrows that Eugene has always been capable of disappearing into his characters," O'Hara joked.
"But I'm so glad we are happily, happily recognizing him today with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
Congrats, Eugene!
