If you've always wanted to travel the world and get paid to do it, you'll want to take note of new jobs at Air Canada.
The airline is hiring flight attendants in Toronto, and, naturally, the position comes with some seriously impressive travel perks.
If you want to work with Canada's largest airline and travel the world at the same time, here's what you'll need to qualify.
Air Canada is seeking "talented, caring individuals" who are ready to be ambassadors for Canada and Air Canada every time they fly, and who will be working out of Air Canada's base in Toronto at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
The airline says it's looking for Canadians who are safety-minded, empathetic, solution-oriented, passionate about service excellence, and can "proudly represent Canada at home and around the world."
Candidates should be at least 18 years old, poised, welcoming, and confident speaking publicly, and should exude a "warm and caring demeanour."
They should also be comfortable wearing the Air Canada uniform daily, and hold a valid Canadian passport that allows travel to all countries served by the airline.
Candidates must also be of good health to be considered — according to Air Canada, certain medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role, and candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation.
Those who speak English and French fluently are preferred, as Air Canada offers bilingual services. However, Air Canada says it would "love to know" if candidates can speak another language in addition to English, including French, Arabic, Japanese, Greek, Italian, German, Hebrew, or Punjabi.
Pay for the position is $29.43 per hour. Those who are selected for the role will participate in an eight-week, full-time, Air Canada Flight Attendant training program in Montreal or Vancouver, which is paid at a lower rate.
What perks do Air Canada flight attendants get?
In addition to a salary of $29.43 per hour, Air Canada flight attendants can enjoy some sweet travel perks.
Air Canada says it offers staff one of the "most generous employee travel programs in the airline industry," with employees and their immediate family members able to take advantage of special rates on airfare.
In addition, those employed with the airline can enjoy discounts on car rentals, hotel accommodations, vacation packages and tour operators through Air Canada's partners.
Air Canada says it also offers employees a wide variety of benefit plans, including health and dental, as well as well-being platform that "provides tools and resources to help you live your best life."
The airline says that staff may also benefit from a retirement plan specific to their employee group designed to provide them with greater financial security.
