Shipyards Night Market

Why You Should Go: The Shipyards Night Market is back starting on May 10 with many fun activities you can enjoy with friends or family.
The popular free night market features food trucks, a beer garden, crafts, vendors and live bands on Friday nights.
Playoffs in the Park

Why You Should Go: Go cheer on the Vancouver Canucks as they take on the Edmonton Oilers for Game 3 this Sunday at a public viewing event in Oak Meadows Park.
The City of Vancouver is hosting a series of viewing events for the Stanley Cup Playoff games the Canucks are playing in, starting this weekend.
The viewing area will be set up in the north end of the park and there will be enough room for 2,000 people to bring a blanket and watch the game on a big screen.

Food Truck Festival Mother's Day edition

Why You Should Go: Enjoy a free movie at the Vancouver Public Library. On May 10, the Renfrew Branch will be screening the 2017 film Moana. This animated film is set in Polynesia and tells the story of an adventurous teen who goes on a big mission to save her people.
The Show at Emily Carr University

When: May 10 to 23, 2024, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
Address: Emily Carr University of Art + Design – 520 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver
Why You Should Go: The Emily Carr University of Art and Design is hosting a hybrid exhibition featuring work by more than 300 graduates from its art, media and design programs.
You can walk around the exhibit and explore the work on display, including ceramics, photography, paintings, sculptures, animation and more.
Relax with a yoga class
Cost: Free
When: May 11 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why You Should Go: Unwind with a free yoga class at Conscious Lab. The hour-long class will focus on teaching participants a Pranayam breathing technique known as Nadi Shuddhi and the powerful AUM mantra.

Mother's Day Pop-Up Market

This recurring event takes place every Friday with rotating bands and musicians each time. The performances start at 8:30 p.m. and run until late.
Lighthouse Park photowalk

Why You Should Go: Go on an adventure at lighthouse park where you can learn about landscape photography from Vincent L. Chan and Jin Cheong aka sonyshooterjin from Sony Canada.
The photowalk will begin and end at the lighthouse park in West Vancouver and is open to photographers of all skills.
