This floating boardwalk aglow with twinkle lights will wind you through a forest in Vancouver
If you want to get into the holiday mood in Vancouver then you have to visit this floating boardwalk that winds through the forest alongside the ocean, aglow with holiday lights for the season.
Trestle Bridge, in British Pacific Properties in West Vancouver, will light up every night during the holiday season, so you have lots of time to take a magical stroll.
The illuminated bridge is 200 metres long and is actually at Cypress Pop-Up Village. The walk isn't too long, so makes for the perfect outdoor activity even on a chilly day.
The Cypress Village website said that "the bridge’s design was inspired by the majestic wooden structures that supported railways throughout the province. Constructed with modern techniques and built from local timber processed on-site, the Trestle Bridge allows the Mountain Path to cross a riparian area with a light touch to reduce environmental impact."
The section of the mountain path that's open to the public will take you past the evergreen trees, and it's especially magical at night.
In the pop-up village you can grab a hot coffee and some handmade pizza at The Shed, and enjoy the stunning view of the ocean from here. It's also extra magical at sunset since you can get a perfect view of the sky lighting up with colours.
Best of all it's free, so you can get into the Christmas spirit without spending any extra cash this holiday season.
