An Entire Class Is Self-Isolating After An Ontario Student Tested Positive For COVID-19

Back to school didn't last long for some students. An entire class is now self-isolating after a COVID-19 case in Markham was reported at a public school. 

The student who tested positive reportedly attended Little Rouge Public School for two full days.

The student is believed to have contracted the disease from a spread in their community.

Now, the entire class is currently self-isolating in an attempt to stop the spread. 

"If you are a close contact, Public Health will contact you," York Public Health wrote in a notice sent to parents.

The GTA isn't the only region in Ontario where schools are battling COVID-19 cases.

Ottawa confirmed cases in six schools on Tuesday.
