It's time to grab your favourite cozy sweater and enjoy the fall season. A hidden waterfall in Ontario has the best colourful view and it's so close to Toronto. Smokey Hollow Falls in Hamilton, Ontario will have you enchanted by the fall foliage and moving water all season long.

Located in the neighbourhood of Waterdown, this 10-metre-tall cascade is situated on a gorgeous part of the Bruce Trail.

You can access it via a natural footpath that has formed on the Niagara Escarpment.

The ravine is a breathtaking hike that you can access multiple waterfalls on, so you can make a day out of it.

The Smokey Hollow Falls actually has a few different names, including Grindstone, Waterdown or Great Falls.

The cascade was once used to power an old sawmill in the area. Now, it has been conserved on vast, protected parkland that you can explore.

The falls are quite accessible, with a viewing platform located right beside the water, so you can take up-close pictures.

The majestic-looking waterfall is completely surrounded by trees, so the autumn leaves will be painting shades of red, yellow and gold through the area in just a few short weeks.

Take in the colours and the sights of the rapidly moving water in Hamilton, which is the waterfall capital of the world.

Their visitor page recommends visiting during off-peak periods to reduce traffic. Early mornings and weekdays are your best bet for avoiding crowds.

Once you've admired the falls, you can take yourself along the Great Falls Loop, which is a 3.5-kilometre walk across the grounds.

The website warns that the walk is quite steep, so get ready for a workout.
