There's good news for those of us who like an evening swim. Mayor John Tory announced on July 2 that six Toronto outdoor pools will be extending their hours until 11:45 p.m. So, you can now take a dip in certain places until nearly midnight.

Outdoor pools across the 6ix began to reopen on Friday, June 26 as Toronto entered stage two of Ontario's reopening framework.

To help residents cool off, 6 of the City’s outdoor pools will be extending their hours until 11:45PM at the following facilities:1.Alex Duff Pool2.Earlscourt Park3.Monarch Park 4.Parkway Forest5.Smithfield Park6.Sunnyside ParkLearn more at: https://t.co/oUR9Teaxkj pic.twitter.com/HIOi0d7LkB — John Tory (@JohnTory) July 2, 2020

And now, the City is already moving to extend the opening hours at six outdoor pools.

Those are Alex Duff Pool at Christie Pits Park, the pool at Earlscourt Park at St. Clair Avenue West, Monarch Park, Parkway Forest, Smithfield Park, and Sunnyside Park.

Until Tory's announcement, outdoor pools were only open until 8 p.m.
