Scotiabank Arena Has The Most Single-Day Vaccine Bookings & It's Shattering Records

The arena is seeing more shot-making history than with Kawhi and the Raptors.

Toronto Associate Editor

Toronto is about to make history at the Scotiabank Arena -- but no, Kawhi Leonard isn't coming back to make another iconic shot.

The "Our Winning Shot" clinic that is going to hit the arena this Sunday, June 27, just booked 25,000 Torontonians for COVID-19 vaccine appointments, announced the City.

This is our winning shot, Toronto.Get vaccinated on Toronto Vaccine Day, June 27, at Scotiabank Arena.

This means Toronto Vaccine Day "has more than doubled the current Canadian record for most people vaccinated at a one-day clinic", according to the announcement. On top of this, the clinic is also on track to set a new North American single-day clinic record.

Mayor John Tory announced earlier today that this Sunday, the TTC is going to give free rides to and from appointments to everyone who's booked at any vaccine clinic in the city that day.

This will also be extended to anyone who works at a vaccine clinic, too, but both patients and workers will have to provide proof in order to qualify.

Metrolinx is also helping out with free rides for the day, and giving anyone with confirmation of a vaccine appointment a free trip to and from their booking, or to any staff and volunteers part of the Scotiabank Arena clinic.

If you couldn't book in for Toronto Vaccine Day, anyone who is eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment can still do so through the city's website or through any participating pharmacy.
