Toronto's New Vegan Fried Chicken Joint Just Opened & It's Already So Popular

Comfort food but make it plant-based.

Lead Writer, Travel

There's a new spot for fried chicken in Toronto, but you won't actually find any chicken there.

Blissful Bird is a plant-based comfort food joint that opened in Snakes & Lattes at the end of April, and it specializes in a meatless fried "Chickun."

The dish is made with gluten-free flours, pea protein, non-GMO tofu, and spices, and is filled with flavour and juiciness.

The restaurant is already gaining popularity and has even sold out due to high demand.

There is a range of menu items available for pickup or delivery, and, according to the venue, the top sellers are the fried Chickun nuggets and any of the sandwiches.
