North America's best airports for 2025 were just revealed, and one Canadian airport stood out among the rest. Spoiler alert: It wasn't Toronto Pearson that climbed to the top of the ranking.

Vancouverites seem to have an advantage when it comes to smooth air travel, with YVR ranking as the best in Canada and among the top in North America.

J.D. Power's North America Airport Satisfaction Study for 2025 was released, breaking down customer satisfaction for airports across the region. Factors like airport accessibility, check-in experience, food and retail offerings, and terminal facilities were accounted for in the study.

Unfortunately for Canadians, not many airports in the country stood out as winners. The airport rankings were categorized by size, with separate lists for medium, large, and mega airports. Each airport was scored on a 1,000-point scale.

Vancouver International Airport was the top scorer in Canada, earning 671 points and landing in eighth place on the ranking of 27 "large airports".

Also in the "large airports" category were Calgary (with 610 points, ranking 24th) and Montréal–Trudeau (with 571 points, ranking 26th).

YYZ (Toronto Pearson International Airport) ranked on the "mega airports" list, scoring 567 points, which was the second-lowest score among the 20 airports.

Overall, YVR has the best score for Canadian airports, so if you have a trip coming up, plan accordingly!
