It's time to start planning some summer travel! WestJet has released its summer schedule, and there are so many new routes to dreamy destinations from Canada.

With its summer 2024 schedule, WestJet announced an increase in coast-to-coast travel options, with 26 new and returning routes.

WestJet says it will also offer more capacity than any other airline for Canucks looking to fly to popular sun destinations this summer, making it easier to book that dream beach vacation.

In a press release, the airline announced its initial summer schedule, which expands WestJet's network to and from Western Canada, features a 56 percent increase in capacity from Toronto to sun destinations, and creates more opportunities for travel between Canada and the United States.

Those dreaming of a European vacation will be happy to know that the airline is adding several new routes to European cities, including Edinburgh, London, Dublin and Reykjavik, Iceland, with flights from Calgary, Halifax, St. John's and Toronto.

The airline is also adding a bunch of routes to summery destinations including San Francisco, Phoenix, Orlando, Varadero, Cuba, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, and Providenciales in the Caicos Islands.

WestJet says it will also offer more flights between Hawaii and Canada than any other airline, with extended direct service to Honolulu and Maui from Calgary, and connecting flights available from Toronto.

It will also be the only airline providing year-round service between Canada and Maui-Kahului from both Calgary and Vancouver.

In addition, the airline says its summer schedule will also feature a 57 percent growth in Latin and Caribbean routes compared to summer 2023.

For those looking to travel domestically, WestJet will also be starting new direct service between Calgary and Deer Lake, Newfoundland, and restarting non-stop service between Toronto and Deer Lake, Moncton, N.B., Charlottetown, P.E.I., and Victoria, B.C.
