If you think you've tried all the pizza there is to try, think again — Windsor-style pizza is a 70-year-old secret delicacy that's been hiding from the rest of Ontario.

Windsor is so proud of their unique pie that there's even a fan club dedicated to it, and Ambassador Pizza Co., which specializes in this beloved dish, filled Narcity in on what makes it so special.

The pizza is cooked on a layer of cornmeal for a crispier bottom, and canned mushrooms are used in place of fresh ones as they retain their moisture and bite when cooked.

Local Galati cheese is one of the most important features of the pizza as it offers just the right amount of fat content for that perfect stringy cheese and the shredded pepperoni is also a must.

If you're not a Windsor local, you can get your hands on a slice of this prized pie at Ambassador Pizza Co.'s Toronto location.
