If you're looking for work in the tech industry, there are 1,800 Amazon jobs in Canada that the global powerhouse is planning to fill this year.

Amazon announced that the 2021 hiring spree is all about finding new corporate and technology employees who will work at its Canadian offices, which include the Vancouver and Toronto Tech Hubs.

There isn't one specific sector the tech giant is looking to fill positions for; instead, the 1,800 new hires will support teams across the company, helping with retail and operations technology, advertising, Alexa and more.

According to Amazon, its full-time employees earn competitive wages and get medical, vision, and dental coverage, a group RRSP plan, stock awards, and performance-based bonuses. Also, there are company-funded training opportunities so that employees can move into higher-paying positions.

Amazon was ranked as one of Canada's best employers to work for in 2021 along with RBC, Bell, Walmart, Apple and more.
