Living near a community pool is nice, especially during the summer, but when you live in Austin, there's no shortage of spots to take a dive into nature. Pace Bend Park near Austin overlooks Lake Travis and has endless opportunities to swim, boat, fish, and pretty much anything else you can imagine doing in the water. With the temperatures rising, so does our need to find somewhere to cool off, and this is the perfect spot!

Pace Bend Park is less than an hour away from Austin and is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, this is an ideal spot to hang out for either.

For daily park use, guests will have to pay a $5 fee if 13 years and older. Children 12 and younger get in for free, and seniors 62 and older have to pay a $3 fee. Camping and trailer parking have separate fees.

Thrillseekers will not only enjoy the views from the cliffs overlooking Lake Travis but also the opportunity to dive into crystal clear water.

Swimming, boating, and fishing are all popular activities, but on land, there are plenty of spots to tan on a towel or have a BBQ afterward.

There are designated spots for swimming, so be sure to stick to those particular waters while there.

Hiking along one of their many trails is also encouraged, and you may even run into a horse or two while doing so.

Visiting this park is exactly how to make a splash into summer 2020. And a big one, at that.
