More Than 50,000 Baby Rockers Sold In Canada Have Been Recalled Due To Suffocation Risk

The Government of Canada says to "immediately stop using" the recalled products.

On June 4, the Government of Canada issued a baby rocker recall for two products: the Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Rock 'n Glide Soothers and the Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders.

"In Canada, this recall involves the Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Rock 'n Glide Soothers with model numbers CBT81, CHP55, and CHP56 and the Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders with model numbers, GDD28, GDD39, GDD41, GGW85, GNX43, GVG43, and HBT17," reads the notice.

The products have been deemed hazardous due to the risk of suffocation for infants who are placed in them unrestrained. While no reports have surfaced in Canada, four infant fatalities have been reported in the U.S.

In Canada, 25,392 Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Rock 'n Glide Soothers and 27,383 Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders have been sold. The recalled items were sold between February 2015 and May 2021.

Anyone with the products is being told to stop using them right away and call Fisher-Price for a refund.
