"We are reviewing this incident and will release additional context tomorrow regarding the high-risk call this officer was on [and] what led to this incident," CPS continued in a tweet.

The video appears to be filmed from inside someone’s house. It shows two officers walking out of the screen.

The video then pans over to another officer who is standing with a police service dog on a leash.

The dog appears to bark and is met with a kick to the torso from the officer.

Calgary Police have not confirmed the nature of the "high-risk call" the officers were dealing with or where exactly the events took place.

Police say they will be releasing a further statement today.
