Calling all pancake lovers. There's an absolutely mindblowing pancake house in Calgary that you need to check out ASAP. The spot is called Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus and they specialize in Dutch-style "pannenkoek" that is literally bigger than your head.

Pancakes are part of the usual breakfast fare in North America but have you wondered how the Dutch make it? According to the eatery's website, the word "pannekoek" directly translates to "pancake" in Dutch.

These pancakes can be both sweet and savoury. The sweet ingredients are normally placed on top of the dish whereas the savoury ingredients are mixed into the batter.

"At the Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus you can expect your pannenkoek to be 12” in diameter," reads the website.

You better be ready to eat because this place has over fifty different types of pancakes. We're not even mentioning the other dishes on their menu.

If you want to start off with something savoury, you can go for the basic breakfast ingredients such as bacon and egg, ham, tomato and cheese, steak, onion and shredded potatoes, and more.

The prices in the "Classic Savoury" section start at $12.95.

They also have a vegetarian section where you can find pancakes made with cranberries, mushrooms, apples, and more.

There are the delectable "Six Cheese" pancakes made up of cheddar, mozzarella, edam (which is a traditional Dutch cheese), gouda, feta, and parmesan.

If you want specialty pancakes that are almost like pizza flavours, don't worry because they have those, too. These include combos like Philly cheesesteak, chicken parmesan, Western — are we still talking about pancakes here?

Rest assured, there's plenty of dessert pancakes going around. They're made up of classic ingredients like brown sugar, apple sauce, cinnamon, bananas, Nutella, berries, and chocolate sauce.

Specialty dessert options include a Black Forest pancake as well as "Heavens Delight" which has mandarins, ice-cream, whipped cream, and orange liqueur.

And if you're in the mood for something truly over-the-top, feel free to try their "Poutine Pannenkoek."

Which is exactly what it sounds like: poutine laid over pancakes and all the rich, gooey toppings you could ask for.

If none of the combos are doing it for you, you can also build your own pannenkoek.

We all love us some pancakes every Sunday morning but have you ever considered taking your love to a whole new level? Thankfully, this place will grant all your pancake wishes, and then some.
