Managing Editor, Canada

If you want to get rich quick this summer, look no further. Canada's "best summer job" is hiring and there's $20,000 on the table!

While there's only one position available for one lucky candidate, this job is open to applications from across the country.

Hipcamp — the hiring business — says the successful candidate will spend 40 days this summer working across the company's "most beautiful sites."

You'll get paid an incredible $20,000 and all you have to do is create blog or vlog content as you go camping and glamping across Canada.

Not only will you get paid the equivalent of $500 per day, but your food and travel expenses will also be covered by the company.

If that wasn't enough, Hipcamp says you might just become "Canadian famous" along the way, thanks to the cool content you'll be creating.

Who are they looking for?

The position is open to all Canadians who have "reached the legal age of majority" in their local area, no matter where they live in Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a "huge personality and some social media skills" so they can document their camping and glamping adventures as they go.

The successful applicant will be chosen using criteria that measure their levels of creativity, as well as their technical and on-camera ability.

How do I apply?

To apply, you must record a 90-second (or less) video of yourself and upload it to YouTube before sharing it on the Hipcamp Best Summer Job website.

You'll then need to ask your friends and family to vote for your video via their own social media channels. Votes will be displayed on your entry page and will be considered part of your application.

Finalists for the role will be chosen on July 19, 2021, with the winner set to be announced on August 2.

The successful applicant will start work on August 9. Eek!
