Travel + Leisure recently revealed a list of the 25 Best Christmas Towns in the U.S., and this village near Ontario came in at number 20.

Portsmouth is a dreamy destination located in New Hampshire, about 6 and a half hours from Ottawa.

According to Travel + Leisure, the "waterfront New England town is steeped in history, with settlements dating back to the 1600."

There's lots to enjoy in the enchanting town during the holiday season.

Activities include the magical Candlelight Stroll at Strawbery Banke, the Gingerbread Exhibition, an Illuminated Holiday Parade and skating at Puddle Dock Pond.
