Costco is giving out gift cards that offer money off purchases and here's how to get the deals

Sign up for a membership

Costco has a deal that gets you money off a purchase just for becoming a member.

If you sign up for an Executive membership, you will receive an online voucher for $80 off a $200 purchase on Costco.ca.

If you sign up for a Gold Star membership, you will receive an online voucher for $40 off a $100 purchase on Costco.ca.

The Executive membership costs $130 per year (plus applicable taxes), and the Gold Star membership costs $65 per year (plus applicable taxes).

When paying for your membership on Costco.ca, you need to enter the promo code COSTCO80 for the Executive membership or COSTCO40 for the Gold Star membership.

You will get an email from Costco with your membership number.

You have to go to the Membership Counter at any Costco location in Canada and show that email to get your membership card.

Then, the online voucher will be emailed to you within two to four business days.

You must be a new member or have a Costco membership that has been expired for at least 18 months to qualify for this offer.

The membership deal is only available until August 31, 2025.

But the online voucher is valid until September 28, 2025.

It can only be used in a single transaction on Costco.ca with a $100 or $200 minimum spend before taxes, applicable fees and shipping.

Refer a friend

Costco is offering the Refer a Friend deal.

If you get someone to become a Costco member, you will each receive a gift card that gets you money off purchases.

You have to bring a friend, family member or someone else you know to the membership counter at a Costco store in Canada.

Then, show the Refer a Friend site to the Membership Clerk during the sign-up process.

If they get the Executive membership, you will both receive a $50 online voucher that can be used on a minimum spend of $200 with Costco.ca.

If they get the Gold Star membership, you will both receive a $25 online voucher that can be used on a minimum spend of $125 with Costco.ca.

This deal is only available until August 31, 2025.

To be eligible, you must be a Costco member, and the person you refer for a membership must be a new member.

A new member is someone who has never been a Costco member before or someone whose membership has been expired for at least 18 months.

The online voucher you get from this deal is valid until September 28, 2025.

It can only be used for purchases on Costco.ca in a single transaction.

The minimum spend requirement is the cost before taxes, applicable fees and shipping.

Renew your membership

Costco has a deal that gets you a gift card when you set up auto-renew for your membership.

You will receive a $25 online voucher if you use a Mastercard to enroll in Membership Auto Renewal before July 25, 2025.

Here's how you can enroll in auto-renewal online:

1. Sign in to your Costco account or create one with your Costco membership number
2. Select "Renew Membership" from the "Account" drop-down menu
3. Select "Set Up Auto Renew Payment" and enter the last name and postal code associated with your membership
4. Add your Mastercard credit or debit card details
5. Select the "Use Card for Auto Renew" box and then "Submit"

Your card won't be charged until your next renewal date.

If you want to set it up in-store, you just have to go to the membership counter at any Costco location in Canada and ask the Membership Clerk about auto-renewal.

This offer is only available for first-time enrollment in Membership Auto Renewal.

You must also be an existing Costco member in good standing to qualify.

The $25 online voucher will be emailed to you within two to four business days of enrollment.

It's valid until August 31, 2025.

You can only use the voucher in a single transaction on Costco.ca that's greater than $25 before taxes, applicable fees and shipping. Also, you have to pay using a Mastercard.
