Anyone who shops at Dollarama knows how good the store's deals can be, but it's actually shocking when you compare prices on their beauty products to bigger retailers like Amazon, Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Whether it's cleaning supplies, stationary, groceries or beauty products, you can save a lot of money by heading to the dollar store.
On a recent trip to my local Dollarama in Victoria, B.C., I walked down the beauty aisle to see what types of brand-name products I could find that are also sold elsewhere like at Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart or online. By the end of the trip, I was surprised by how much variety there was.
Not only that but there were some serious price differences when I compared the prices of the items to the same products sold at other Canadian stores.
Here are 27 brand-name items I found at Dollarama and how the prices compare to Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart.

It's not just brand-name beauty products that Dollarama sells for less.
Shopping for kitchen products and even certain groceries at the dollar store can save you a lot of cash so it's certainly worth checking out Dollarama before going elsewhere.
I also recently tested six electronics and gadgets from Dollarama and I was surprised by how many high-quality options I found.
Although they're not brand-name items, I was still surprised with how well some of them worked and would recommend buying certain ones at the dollar store instead of paying a lot more for a similar product.
