Times are tough and everything in Canada seems wildly expensive at the moment, so many people are turning to low-cost retailers like Dollarama and other dollar stores to save some money on everyday essentials.

While some may think that because the items are on the cheaper side they may be of lesser quality, Dollarama actually stocks quite a few brand name products that are sold at other popular stores, which means you're not sacrificing on quality.

I recently went for a wander at the Dollarama near me in the West End of Toronto where I spotted plenty of brands I'm familiar with and have bought before, which is always nice as it can make you feel a little more confident in what you're purchasing.

Here are just a few of the brand name items I spotted at Dollarama and how much they cost in my area.
