Winners is catching flack online after a Toronto location was spotted selling a Dollarama product at a significantly marked-up price.

On the Reddit thread r/toronto, a user posted a picture of a $5 pan sold at Dollarama and shared that they found the exact same item Winners.

"Soooo I saw this 'Rama Design' pan in Winners at Warden/Eglinton," said the user. "For anyone who is unfamiliar, Rama Design is one of Dollarama's brands."

The second photo shows the Rama Design pan selling for $29.99 at Winners, with the sticker saying that the pan is valued at around $40.00.

"I am pretty sure Winners put their sticker over the Dollarama price," the user continued. "What was Winners even thinking? I've noticed similar dollar store-esque things at Winners but this is pretty brazen."

In the thread, many people chimed in with their confusion over the pricing at Winners.

"I usually check out the beauty section because sometimes they have good prices on luxury brands," said another user. "Recently, I noticed the prices don't make any sense. For example, a mini size of an item that sephora sells for $15 was priced at $30, which is almost the regular price of the full-size version at Sephora."

"We have to be very careful these days," one person shared. "I saw the Buddha small planters from Dollarama that sell for $3.50 selling at another store for $9.00."

Narcity reached out to Winners for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.
