Costco vs. Dollarama: We compared prices on 16 products and here's where they're cheaper
Buying in bulk will save you money!

A Costco location. Right: A Dollarama store.
With how expensive groceries are in Canada these days, you may be trying to find the best deals possible before heading out on your next shopping trip to Loblaws, Dollarama or Costco.
Dollarama may seem like the obvious go-to when you're trying to get brand-name products for less, but sometimes it's worth checking big box stores like Costco.
I took a trip to both Dollarama and Costco in Victoria, B.C. to see which identical items I could find in both stores to compare the prices. I stuck to beauty aisle essentials like shampoo, toothpaste and bodywash as well as vitamins and allergy medication.
Costco and Dollarama each have a reputation for offering cheap products, with Costco selling them in bulk and Dollarama selling them individually.
But which is the better deal?
Here are 16 items and how the prices compare at each store.
