Better days are on the horizon. That was the message coming from Justin Trudeau, as he promised that the COVID-19 pandemic won't last forever.

Speaking from Rideau Cottage on January 5, the prime minister shared the news that Canada has delivered almost half a million vaccine doses to provinces and territories across the country.

This pandemic will end. We will get through this. Better days are on the horizon. Justin Trudeau

By September, the prime minister said that Canada will have enough doses to vaccinate “every Canadian who wants a shot.”

Shortly after, Trudeau added, “better days are on the horizon.”

However, he said Canadians will have to “keep holding on” to get there.

The PM then took the opportunity to remind Canadians that Canada’s travel rules are “very clear” right now and said nobody should be taking non-essential trips abroad.

“You need to take this seriously,” he warned, adding that failing to follow the rules “could mean real consequences, including fines and prison time.”

During the same press conference, the Liberal leader also opened up about his favourite kind of meetings as a prime minister.
