According to Justin Trudeau, the COVID-19 vaccines should be in the arms of Canadians and not in freezers.

The PM made the comments in his press conference Tuesday and said that he is growing impatient along with millions of Canadians.

All Canadians, including me, are frustrated to see vaccines in freezers and not in people's arms.  Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Trudeau was asked by reporters what can be done by levels of government regarding COVID-19 vaccines that have been allegedly sitting in freezers.

He responded by saying he, along with Canadians, are "frustrated" to see vaccines in freezers and "not in people's arms."

"We're going to continue working closely with the provinces both to deliver vaccines to the provinces and to support them in terms of getting more vaccines out to vulnerable populations and front line workers as quickly as possible," he said.

Additionally, Trudeau said that Canada has been able to successfully ramp up vaccine deliveries over the last few weeks. Still, he said that it's time to accelerate the process.

According to him, premiers will be meeting on Thursday to discuss the matter further in their first meeting of 2021.

They will look into "how the federal government can support and help in getting these vaccines even more quickly out to Canadians."
