You Can Get Fined $10,000 For Throwing A Party In Ontario Even If You're In The Green Zone
Just because you're in the green zone doesn't mean you can celebrate with a party.
In fact, if you host a gathering exceeding social limits, you can still be slammed with a massive Ontario COVID-19 fine.
According to Brent Ross, a spokesperson for the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario's reopening plan includes several stiff penalties.

Even though the province has switched over to the colour zone system, Ross told Narcity that penalties will still remain the same.
"The colour code pertaining to a specific area may change various public health requirements but it does not affect the underlying fines for violation of those requirements," he stated.
Due to this, Ontarians in the green zone should still keep gatherings to a maximum of 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
If you are caught violating these rules, you can face charges of $10,000.
Ross also states that depending on the situation, some offenders could even face up to a year in jail.
So, just because you live in a green zone doesn't mean you can throw a big Christmas party this year.
