The best way to warm up and celebrate winter with your favourite people!

A 34-day festival is coming to Quebec City to make your winter completely magical

Exciting snow activities for all. Right: Giant polar bear light installation.

Editor, Studio

Winter doesn’t have to be cold and gloomy. On the contrary, the snowflakes dancing with the wind as they fall from the sky, the twinkling lights shining through the long nights, and the comforting treats that warm you up after a day spent in the snow make this season a magical time.

To add to this enchanting vibe and give you another reason to enjoy the charm and romance of Quebec City, the Carnaval de Québec is introducing a brand-new event starting December 21. The Gougoune et Doudoune festival will offer a variety of activities in a lively atmosphere at the Espace Quatre Cents.

Family-friendly games will be on-site, including a giant polar bear climbing structure, a ball pit for the little ones, a track for three electric skis, the Blizz slide and even a station where visitors can try snow canoeing.

You’ll also be able to visit an exhibition about the carnival and the "Symposium carnivalesque" presented by Lépine Cloutier / Athos.

The festivities will take place daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. between December 21 and January 5 (including December 25 and January 1), on Saturdays and Sundays from January 11 to February 2, and every day from February 7 to 16 (during the Carnaval de Québec).

Access to the site is free for 34 days, with passes for the activities available for purchase at the ticket booth. You can also buy a day pass or a season pass. Free Vidéotron shuttles will be running to transport festivalgoers to the site.
