This Labyrinth Of Lavender In Michigan Is Like Strolling Through An Enchanted Garden
When you imagine the farms in Michigan, Cherry Point Farm's Lavender Labyrinth probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. That's why it's such a needed stop on your summer travel list. This garden looks like something straight out of a fairy tale.
The stroll through the labyrinth is beautiful, but there's a deeper meaning as well. This shape is supposed to be extremely relaxing & can be a good way to meditate and connect with your spirituality.
Even though it might seem like a maze, it's not because you can't get lost in it! You can follow the path for hours and always end up where you started since it's on a continuous path.
It takes about an hour to walk through the entire labyrinth and we bet it would be one of the most peaceful hours of the year. Of course, you're free to stick around and take in the scents & scenery a bit longer if you'd like.
The lavender begins to bloom in mid-July and is harvested in early September. The herb is at its most vibrant at the beginning of August & should definitely be on your bucket list next summer!
There's no charge to walk through the garden when it's open. The farm's market does sell the lavender in bulk though — which would look absolutely gorgeous in a vase on your windowsill.
You may want to consider bringing your drone if you have one too. An aerial view of the garden really shows off its floral design and has got to be one of the most beautiful things in Michigan.
Cherry Point even has produce & herbs for purchase as well as a lunch service available at their dreamy little spot. The market also offers fun souvenirs & homemade goodies like jams and strudel made from their homegrown cherries too.
This farm is just a mile away from Lake Michigan so it's easy to make a great summer adventure out of this trip. The Silver Lake sand dunes are only minutes from the farm and offers stretches of some of Michigan's most stunning beaches.
The white sand and teal waters are the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the lavender garden.
