Hudson's Bay is closing stores in Canada, but liquidation sales aren't happening everywhere.

If you're wondering about where store closing sales are, how to find deals online and when gift cards will no longer be accepted, here's what you need to know.

Hudson's Bay liquidation sales started on March 24 at some locations in Canada as stores get ready to close.

But you can't get deals from those sales online or at certain stores.

When you go to The Bay's site, there is a banner that tells you to find a store near you that's in liquidation if you want to shop sales.

That's because the six that are staying open — Richmond Hill, Yorkdale, Toronto Queen St., Montreal Centre-Ville, Pointe-Claire and Carrefour Laval — and thebay.com are excluded from closing sales.

All of the products with liquidation store closing sales are final sale, which means you can't return or exchange any items you buy.

Items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are "as is."

If you want to redeem points during the liquidation sale to save even more money, you won't be able to.

That's because the Hudson's Bay Rewards program is paused. You can't earn or redeem points right now.

However, you can still use Hudson's Bay gift cards and gift certificates in-store and online until April 6, 2025.

Liquidation sales are happening until June 15, 2025. Then, all but six of the Hudson's Bay stores in Canada are expected to close by Monday, June 30, 2025.
