According to the website, it's one of the oldest and "most charming" towns in the province, complete with "century-old buildings and lovely waterfront setting."

It's actually known as a "War of 1812" community and was established as a town in 1796, so you can expect some major old-world vibes while visiting this spot.

The town boasts stunning gardens, gorgeous water views, local boutiques, delicious eateries, and more, making it an idyllic spot for a getaway.

Several historic sites in the area, such as Fort Malden and Amherstburg Navy Yard, offer opportunities to learn more about the region's history.
