Ottawa Has Super Patriotic Red & White Bagels That Even Taste Like Maple (PHOTOS)

It's pretty Canadian, eh?
Contributor

Breakfast just got a little more patriotic! Kettleman's Bagels in Ottawa is serving up bright red bagels with maple cream cheese, just in time for Canada Day. The brightly-coloured bread is coated in sweet maple goodness, and it's only available for a short time.

Have any Canada Day plans? You might want to add this stop to your schedule.

The well-recognized bagel shop in Ottawa has been in business for over 25 years, creating quirky masterpieces in the kitchen and serving them fresh out the oven.

In honour of Canada day, Kettleman's has created a colourful red bagel with maple cream cheese, because what's more Canadian than that?

Whether you want to try just one for $1.39 or dozen for $10.99, we won't judge.

"We’ve got red bagels (starting Sunday - while supplies last), maple schmear, and a variety of unique food items from across Canada," explains an IG post on the Kettleman's Bagels page.

With three locations in the Ottawa region, it doesn't hurt to make the trip and secure a Canadian-inspired treat.

Although they've been selling the Canadian goodies since June 28, you can still get your hands on one before July 1.

The bagel company hasn't shied away from creating colourful bagels in the past for every occasion.

For St. Patrick's Day, Kettleman's offers Shrek-coloured green bagels, doused in Bailey's green cream cheese, which makes sense for the occasion!

Colourful bagels have also been spotted in Vancouver, where there's magical unicorn bagels for anyone who likes a little sparkle with their snacks.

Tim Hortons is also getting involved in the Canada Day fun, and is offering a free donut with your coffee.

The freebie is available on both June 30 and July 1, and can be picked up from participating Timmies locations across the country.

With current restrictions across the province and Canada Day festivities cancelled, a festive treat could be the pick-me-up we all need.

Kettleman's is also open 24/7 every day of the year, so even if you're craving a late-night food adventure, they've got your back!
