It's time to get your Zoom background in order, because Ottawa's best employers have just been named and they're hiring right now.

The list was released on Tuesday, February 2, and it includes some major companies like Shopify, the CRA and Adobe.

55 Number of top employers listed

The list is decided on by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers, who make the same list for the whole country and Toronto as well.

They rank companies on criteria like work atmosphere, employee communications, benefits and vacation time.

The 55 companies are in all sorts of industries — from software to banking to the government — and some of them are hiring right now.

The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario is hiring a full-time Multimedia specialist, who will provide their photography, videography and graphic design abilities to the marketing and fundraising team, among others.

The position is temporarily remote, and they're asking for people with five years of experience in multimedia work.

The City of Ottawa is looking for several positions, including a Senior Administrative Assistant to perform clerical and research duties for a director.

The job pays up to $68,781 a year with three years of relevant experience needed.

And finally, Adobe has a job posting for a Technical Support Engineer, and the company is looking for somebody with a knowledge of databases, programming languages and web technologies to help solve complex technical challenges.

But Adobe is considering applicants with only a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience.
