2020 has been a rough year for pretty much everyone in Canada, but a job at one of Toronto's top employers would definitely help you start 2021 on the right foot.

The Greater Toronto's Top Employers list has been running for 15 years now, curated by The Canada Top 100 Employers Project and the Globe and Mail (who also make a national list).

The list names 100 companies in the GTA, judged on criteria like work atmosphere, vacation and time off, benefits, and employee communications.

And plenty of those 100 companies are hiring right now.

There are a number of global companies with Toronto headquarters on the list, like Walmart, VISA, and Ford Motors.

But there are also some local favourites included on the list, like the University of Toronto, the TTC, and the Toronto Zoo.

Whether they're with a big or small company, there are jobs up for grabs.

HarperCollins Publishing is hiring a Publicity & Marketing Coordinator, with only two years of experience needed to work for the Top 100 employer.

The University of Toronto is looking for a similar candidate for their Marketing & Communications Officer position, though they ask for at least five years of relevant experience.

But if you're looking for something with a much lower barrier of entry, Loblaws is hiring a Digital Content Specialist for their Brampton office and they're only asking for experience in website and content management — without any fixed term specified.
