Someone In Ontario Called 911 Over 150 Times In One Day

Emergency dispatchers in one Ontario city had a very busy day recently.

Police in St. Thomas got over 150 calls to 911 from the same number on Sunday, September 20.

St Thomas Police spoke on the incident, which tied up their emergency line.

Dispatchers were overwhelmed after someone called 911 over 150 times.


St. Thomas Police Service 

The caller refused to identify themselves, nor did they specify what their emergency was. 

The calls were placed using a Voice Over Internet Phone tool, which allows users to call 911 using their voice.

The St. Thomas Digital Forensic Unit is investigating the incident and is trying to identify the caller.
