An Amber Alert Has Been Issued In Quebec After A Two-Month-Old Baby Was ‘Abducted’

Police want Canadians to look out for a black Honda Civic vehicle.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Quebec Amber Alert was issued after a two-month-old baby was allegedly abducted.

In a tweet just before 2:30 p.m., the Sûreté du Québec said the child was abducted in the Waterloo area of the province at around 11 a.m. on the same day.

Police say the baby, named Wesley Labrecque, may have been taken by Xavier Labrecque, who is 22 years old.

The public is asked to look out for a black Honda Civic vehicle from 2015, with the license plate Z66MNZ.

Anybody with information about the baby’s possible whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

UPDATE: The child has been found safe according to CBC and Quebec provincial police have cancelled the Amber Alert.
