Customer Protection Officer
Salary: $44.08 an hour ($24.80 an hour during training)
Location: Various locations in the GTA
Who Should Apply: You need six months of experience in law enforcement activities and social or community work with exposure to the justice system.
Also, you must have:
- knowledge of principles and practices normally attained through a community college program in law enforcement, social work or a relevant field
- the ability to interpret and apply federal and provincial statutes and local bylaws
- interpersonal skills to maintain customer service and operating protocol with railway and local police and court services

Who Should Apply: You must have a community college diploma or certificate in law and security, social services, customer relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to law and security work or customer service.
You also need one year of experience involving law and security enforcement or customer service in a customer-oriented environment or with a vulnerable population.
It's required that you have:
- the ability to interpret and apply Metrolinx bylaws and the Provincial Offences Act
- a valid Ontario G driver's license
- a valid Level C First Aid CPR certificate and Mental Health First Aid Certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada (to be acquired before the start of work)

- be able to satisfy a criminal records check to obtain Provincial Offence Officer status
- complete environmental, safety and any other training
- be able to travel between locations, potentially spanning the entire Greater Golden Horseshoe area
- be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and open heavy doors regularly

- be prepared to work on a 24-hour rotating shift basis

Also, you must have experience as a Truck and Coach Technician, preferably in a supervisory role in a unionized environment.
It's required that you have:
- an Ontario G driver's license
- a valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) certification with Interprovincial Red Seal
- the ability to obtain an Ontario C driver's license with a Z endorsement
- knowledge of heavy transit vehicle maintenance and repair performed to manufacturers' specifications,
- proficiency in the reading of schematics and transit and mechanical technology

- ability to supervise and organize the work output of several teams

You must be able to complete environmental, safety and any other training required by Metrolinx.
Bus Driver
Salary: $32.95 an hour ($18.20 an hour during training)
Location: North York, Streetsville, Brampton, Kitchener, East Gwillimbury, Oshawa, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, or Puslinch
Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have a valid Ontario G driver's license for at least two years with no more than two demerit points and no pending charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
Also, you need to have:
- reading, writing, and learning skills normally attained through a high school education
- six months of experience in public-facing customer service

Who Should Apply: You need a 310T Truck and Coach Technician designation and one year of experience as a Truck and Coach Technician in a transit, highway bus or similar heavy-duty repair environment.
Also, you must have:
- knowledge of heavy transit and highway bus maintenance and repair, manufacturer specifications and schematics, MTO specifications and requirements of legislated bus inspection requirements, and transit and mechanical technology
- a valid Ontario G driver's license, with the ability to obtain a C license with a Z endorsement
