This Study Shows The New iPhone 12 Might Cause Serious Heath Issues
Months after Apple released its new series of the iPhone 12, but they may pose a serious health issue for many according to a new study done by cardiologists at the Henry Ford Health System.
The phone contains an array of magnets on the back that allow the phone to charge faster than ever before, but these magnets may pose a threat to implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD), which provide life-saving therapy for those with cardiac issues.

(The iPhone 12) potentially can inhibit lifesaving therapy in a patient, particularly when the phone is carried in an upper chest pocket.
The study reads
When Dr. Joshua C. Greenberg first raised concerns about the device, he and his colleagues, Dr. Mahmoud R. Altawil and Dr. Gurjit Singh, began testing the interaction between a patient with an ICD and an iPhone 12.
Once the phone was put in front of the patient's left chest area, an immediate suspension of ICD therapies was noted and continued for the duration of the test.
The result was repeated multiple times with different positions of the phone over the pocket.
Suspension of an ICD can potentially lead to a life-threatening cardiac event.
These findings prompted the researchers to ask medical device manufacturers and implanting physicians to remain vigilant about making patients aware of this issue.
Apple has also become aware of this possible issue and is now warning users to keep the phone at least 6 inches away from a pacemaker and/or ICD at all times.
