A Brantford man's intoxicated joyride ended in criminal charges on Saturday evening.

Police first became aware of the Brantford drunk driver when a "concerned citizen" saw him cruising down the Wayne Gretzky Parkway in a golf cart, with something boozy-looking in his hand.

Turns out, he was double the legal limit.

Police say that after failing a roadside screening device, he was arrested and charged.

His license is now suspended for 90 days.
