It's almost time to load up your car with blankets and head to the movies because a popular drive-in theatre near Toronto is reopening so soon.

Oakville's 5 Drive-In just announced on its Facebook page that it will be starting its 2021 season in early March.

In the post, the outdoor movie theatre revealed that it has some exciting things planned for the season but did not go into detail.

"We will have lots of amazing content and we will sure create some more incredible memories to last a lifetime," the post read.

The Halton region is currently in the red zone, which allows drive-in cinemas to operate with regulations.

The theatre, which boasts three screens, has been around since the 1960s.

In 2020, it hosted all sorts of distanced activities, including concerts and corporate events.
