Toronto Is Getting A Massive Waterfront Drive-In Theatre This Month

It's the only drive-in in the city!
Lead Writer, Travel

Grab your favourite snacks and hop in your car, because this is one spot you'll want to zoom off to ASAP. A massive drive-in theatre is opening up in Toronto, and it will be the only one in the city. You can enjoy all sorts of movies and concerts at this new waterfront spot. Toronto's CityView Drive-in is opening this month, and tickets are going on sale soon.

In a time of social distancing, drive-ins have been making a comeback across the province.

Now, you won't have to take a road trip out of the city in order to enjoy one of these retro venues.

A giant outdoor theatre is opening in Toronto this month, and it will be the only one in the 6ix.

INK Entertainment has announced the launch of CityView Drive-In, a new outdoor concert and entertainment venue.

Set to open on July 16 at Polson Pier, this huge attraction will have the stunning Toronto skyline as a backdrop.

The drive-in will host concerts, movie nights, and other unique events throughout the season.

The area can hold over 200 vehicles in reserved parking spots that are at least 7 feet apart.

The massive 238-foot stage and three LED screens will deliver shows to guests from the comfort of their cars.

The experience will be completely contactless. Tickets will be purchased online and scanned at the entrance with a touchless system.

The audio will be available through FM radio frequency so that guests do not have to lower their windows.

You can also order concessions and merchandise online and have it delivered to your vehicle with contactless delivery.

The venue asks that guests wear facemasks when outside of their vehicles. There are masks available for purchase on-site.

There is a minimum number of two people per vehicle, and tickets are sold per person.

You'll be able to buy a ticket online this week, and there will be limited tickets available at the door.

The first event will be a live concert by Monster Truck on July 16. A Tribe Called Red and Allan Rayman are also scheduled for shows this summer.

Spend your nights at this giant waterfront drive-in theatre this summer!
